With over 45 years in the oil blending industry, Comma manufactures and supplies automotive lubricants and chemicals for passenger and commercial vehicles globally. Comma products are typically distributed through retail, trade and, passenger and commercial vehicle channels, including to the motorsport industry.

Their Challenge

Comma oil supplies a network of independent garages with performance oil for car servicing in the UK. Commawere seeking to implement a tactical sales incentive that would engage customers, create brand loyalty and encourage product sales, whilst attracting new customers over a 3 month period.

The Solution

"Targeted customer promotion"

Stargage partnered with Comma to assemble a bespoke online, points based, rewards platform to encourage customers to purchase greater quantities of oil over the promotional period and collect points to redeem for a business gift. With a specific audience in mind: male, garage owner, who likes gadgets: Stargage administered the gift promotion and fulfilled gifts direct to the customer.

The Result

"Year on year sales increases"

Since the promotion began, Stargage have engaged Comma’s customers and encouraged them to save accrued points and redeem them at the end of the promotion for gifts set at a higher points value. Sales of Comma oil products have increased year-on-year.
